A CULTURAL AND THEORETICAL BUILDING WITH THE ANTIQUITY OF IRANS'' COMMUNICATION
INAUGURATION OF KOLAH FARANGI The KOLAH FARANGI building which is a sign of Iran’s communication, has been repaired and will be inaugurated at the Beseem area occasionally on May 20th after the Telecommunication and Society Day ,with the presence of TCI''s Minister Mr. Soleymani and other members. TCI''s Public and International Relations added: This building has an antiquity of 84 years where the first high wave mast was installed in 1925 and so from May 20th on wards it will be a cultural and theoretical complex of the telecommunication. It has been planned and designed as a single stage divided by a veranda into two stages, there is a special library and several small rooms designed for museum use on the south eastern part of the building. A conference room and video watching are of other categories at the new Kolah Farangi which can only be used as the main hall with specific agreements and responsibilities. The repairing and registration of the building in the National Monument Index have both been taken care of by the Cultural Heritage Organization. The Kolah Farangi Committee with the membership of Dr. Karampour - Member Of The Board Of TCI , Dr. Zareian Managing Director Of International And Public Relations Of TCI as executer, Mr.Azimi (engineer) General Director Of The Communication Museum, representatives of the Cultural Heritage Organization and the Post and Telegraph Company were responsible and in charge of this project. Finally, due to all loyalty and the buildings'' history concerns in January 2004, Abniyeh repairing and revival company as contractor and Perseen design and building company as observer and controller took this project in hands .It has also been declared that the new building has the strength of surviving against a 7.5 earthquake. As other applications of the new Kolah Farangi, special session halls ,Radio and Television interviews and the old Radio Museum can be mentioned, which on the other hand, the preservation of engines ,old electronic generators and a place for having conversations, are other categories available at the new building.
